This pretty pair of rectangular earrings have that fun boho vintage feel to them, softly embossed with leaves and swirl like plumes which are gently oxidised and the parts of the design that stand out have been burnished for that extra shine and depth (sorry my photos do not pick this up very well!). The pattern is not in opposition rather it continues from one earring to the other, please see the photo of the earrings side by side. They are made from fine silver metal clay which can be sculpted or patterned or rolled etc. and which starts life out as fine silver particles with a clay binder and as the pieces are fired the binder burns away and the particles fuse together leaving just a silver item, in this case fine silver which is 999 percent silver rather than sterling which is 925 percent silver. Clever stuff first created by the Japanese and now produced in all sorts of places and can be bought in bronze, copper, sterling, gold etc.. The earrings are approximately 4.1cm from the top of the hook (1 5/8 inches), 1.1cm wide (3/8 inch), and the drop length from the bottom of the hook is 2.7cm (just over an inch).
