About Me

Hello my name is Natasha and I make jewellery and gifts that relate to jewellery. I started out with traditional silversmithing many years ago now with a teacher who was a fantastic silversmith called Stan Bishop, he had an amazing skill set and always had a major project going on, such as ornate walking stick handles or a sculpture commission. I also learned all sorts from the other students all of whom had been silversmithing for many a year!

I use various techniques and various metals and I love gemstones, so I use those a lot too. In the not too distant past I discovered that Swarovski were making some very interesting shaped pendants/charms in beautiful colours so I have made a little range of Swarovski too.
My more recent addition to the ways in which I work is working with metal clay, if you have not come across metal clay it starts out life as microscopic particles of metal (silver, gold, bronze, copper, iron etc.) mixed with a binder, it is then fired and the binder burns away and the particles fuse together creating a metal piece, first created by the Japanese in gold back in 1990. It is wonderful to work with, you can sculpt and texture and mould it and much more besides, endless possibilities. I do sometimes make pieces in bronze or copper metal clay, often mixing it with silver, I think bronze is highly underrated, you can have the appearance of gold with out the price tag and I find it tarnishes very slowly! The silver clay I buy has the added bonus of being from recycled silver.

I recently bought another gorgeous pair of earrings for my collection from Natasha.
They are delicate and confidently designed with an emphasis on the property of the stones and presented beautifully by the minimal silver threader.
    Love it.
Thank you so much for a lovely treat from me to me.
