A leather bracelet with handmade silver beads, great gifts for him or her! This one is black and has a plain satin finished fine silver rolled bead, the bead is handmade and each bead is different to the next so a little uniqueness with each one! A little bit of shiny silver without if being too much! the ends and the catch are also silver but sterling. Fine silver has a high silver content, 99.9% and sterling is 92.5%, sterling is a bit tougher and so it is good for things like catches and other findings!
The beads are made from fine silver metal clay. If you haven’t come across metal clay it was first created by the Japanese back in 1990 in gold and then in turn silver, it is microscopic particles of silver mixed into a binder, it can be sculpted, textured, rolled etc. it is then fired whereupon the binder burns away and the particles fuse together or sinter into a metal piece.
The bracelets are 21.5cm long or 8 1/2 inches with an extra jump ring and this is about right for an average man or a woman with a large wrist, the width of the leather is 0.5mm, the wood grain bead is approximately 1.5cm long (just over 1/2 inch) and 0.8cm wide and the plain bead is approximately 1.8cm (5/8 inch) long x 0.8cm wide.
