A pretty pair of round silver lavender flower earrings. The lavenders are different on each earring, I thought it made them a little bit different and the raised flowers are patinated to bring out the depth on the background. The earring fittings are small spiral hoops that I make. The lavender flowers came from the back garden from a lavender variety called Lavender Munstead, it is quite a pink lavender! The lavender rounds are made from fine silver silver metal clay which is 99.9% silver, so very pure, if you haven't come across metal clay before it first created by the Japanese back in 1990 in gold and then in turn silver, it is microscopic particles of silver mixed into a binder, it can be sculpted, textured, rolled etc. it is then fired whereupon the binder burns away and the particles fuse together or sinter into a solid metal piece. There are all sorts of metal clays available now, steel, bronze, copper, iron etc..The earrings are 4cm long from the top of the sterling silver round earring fitting and 2.1cm in diameter. the earrings are nice and light to wear.
