A different version of my bronze butterfly earrings, a shorter drop style rather than the long wishbone style, so the butterflies sit closer to the ear lobe but I have given them a long back for a more elegant balanced look. The butterflies are a deep golden bronze and the backs are sterling silver. They are light to wear and very adaptable for different outfits! The length from the top of the hook is 3cm and the width of the butterfly is 1.8cm and the length of the back of the hook is 4.5cm or one and a quarter inches drop and three quarters of an inch wide and the drop of the back of the hook is one and three quarter inches.
The butterflies have been made from bronze metal clay and have a lovey soft golden bronze colour to them, they will develop patinas over time and go more of a darker bronze, I like the colours bronze metal clay starts to turn but if you want to keep it more of a golden bronze, I have found a good buff with a silver cloth will bring it back to a golden colour.
