Floral treats for your ears! A pair of pretty rose studs in gold vermeil. Gold vermeil is thick gold plating of a high carat (in this case 24 carat/karat) over sterling (92.5% silver) or fine silver (99.9% silver), gold vermeil is very durable and will last for a long, long time! The roses are made from fine silver metal clay and the posts are sterling silver.

If you haven't come across metal clay before it starts life in the form of fine metal particles mixed with a clay binder and when it is fired the clay binder burns away leaving a solid metal piece, it comes in all sorts of metals now but. I used fine metal clay for these studs.
