Bronze Archangel Michael Pendant

£75.00
Bronze, sterling silver
3.2cm high x 23.2cm tall

This is a bronze version of the picture pendant of Archangel Michal slaying the dragon that I make in silver, I haven't been able to make one in bronze until now because I didn't think the bronze metal clays I had tried were fine enough in finished texture to pick up the fine detail but I have found this Art Clay bronze one feels much like the silver clays. The pendant is made from an antique picture button, the detail is lovely, hopefully this can be seen in the photos!

The pendant is made in bronze metal clay and hangs from a nice sized sterling silver Spiga chain with a carabiner clasp. There is a silver and gold vermeil version of this pendant available, please see other listings (they are all next to each other under pendants and necklaces).

If you haven't come across metal clay before it starts life out as tiny particles of metal mixed with a binder, in it's clay form it can be sculpted, textured, folded etc. it is then fired where upon the binder burns away leaving a metal piece, in this case bronze! Metal clays now come in copper, bronze, gold as well as silver.

The pendant is approximately 3.2cm in diameter (1 1/4 inch) and has a 46cm chain or 18 inches.

I love metal clay and the textures that can be created on a piece but please note it is not like milled metal sheet which can be made very smooth and is often highly polished.

Please note you may not receive the pendant in the photos but it will be one very similar to it!
