Lavender Silver Pendant

£39.50
Fine silver, sterling silver
Diameter 2.9cm, chain 46cm

This pretty lavender flower pendant in fine silver has a trio of lavender flower heads lifting out of the background. The lavender comes from our garden, I used a variety called Lavender Munstead to make my moulds and in turn the pendant. The pendant is made from fine silver metal clay, fine silver is 99.9% silver, so it is very pure, sterling silver 92.5%. If you haven’t come across metal clay it was first created by the Japanese back in 1990 in gold and then in turn silver, it is microscopic particles of silver mixed into a binder, it can be sculpted, textured, rolled etc. it is then fired whereupon the binder burns away and the particles fuse together or sinter into a metal piece. The pendant is 2.9cm in diameter (1 1/8 inch) and the lovely sterling silver circle chain is 46cm long (18 inches) and has a good sized carabiner clasp, also known as a lobster claw clasp.
