A pretty silver mint flower botanical rectangular pendant with a curved bottom edge. The impression of a mint flower comes from a flower I picked from our mint in the garden, the flower is raised from the background and I have patinated it lightly as I thought it brought out all the detail of the mint flower which are spear shaped as they grow. I have hung it on an 46cm/18' sterling silver Spiga chain which is lovely and flexible and there is a good sized carabiner clasp for the closure. The pendant is made from fine silver metal clay, which has a high purity of 99.9%, sterling is 92.5% and if you haven't come across metal clay it was first created by the Japanese back in 1990 in gold and then in turn silver, it is microscopic particles of silver mixed into a binder, it can be sculpted, textured, rolled etc. it is then fired whereupon the binder burns away and the particles fuse together or sinter into a solid metal piece. The pendant is 3.7cm high and 1.5cm wide, in inches that is 1 3/8 high and 1/2 inch wide. The metal clay I have used also has the added bonus of being recycled silver, a little kinder for the planet!
