Gorgeous round wood textured silver cufflinks for him or her! Botanical cufflinks created using wood from our garden. I made a mould from the wood and used the texture to imprint into fine silver metal clay. If you haven’t come across metal clay it was first created by the Japanese back in 1990 in gold and then in turn silver, it is microscopic particles of silver mixed into a binder, it can be sculpted, textured, rolled etc. it is then fired whereupon the binder burns away and the particles fuse together or sinter into a metal piece.

I soldered on sterling silver whale tail cufflink bases to complete these lovely unusual cufflinks.

The cufflinks are 1.5cm in diameter.
The cufflinks are not hallmarked because each one is below the required weight for hallmarking but the whale tail fittings do have 925 stamped onto the side which is the purity of sterling silver, 92.5%. The tops are fine silver which is 99.9% silver so a little purer than sterling.
